Met up with some friends for coffee this morning. Including this little smiler. Great to catch up and meet some wee people.

On the way out of the cafe there was a cluster of people pointing at the sky. Where this big dark funnel was twisting around. I guess in a place where our lives are so closely tied to the wind it does take a lot of weather to phase us but even so there was a moment when we had a vague 'what do we do if it heads this way?' conversation.

Eventually it just sooked back up into the clouds without having touched the ground... which I guess is a good thing. As if any damage had been done it would have become the topic of conversation for years, just like the great hurricane of 1952 -
