Watamu

Caught the earliest Matatu we could make (it was also the nicest matatu i've ever met, it was 'the express' and more expensive but worth it!) and took ourselves to Watamu, a couple of hours north of Mombassa. It's a funny place, not like anywhere else i've been in Kenya, so full of Italians that all the Kenyans say 'ciao' instead of hello to you but with a very lovely few beaches.
The place we booked got our booking wrong so we were taken to some other place and by some guy who then talked us into going snorkling the next morning.
Didn't do too much, found one of many Italian places for a bit of lunch, swam in the sea and wandered about. Had some great pizza at this amazing place in a hotel for dinner.
