A slice of Lesley's life

Noisy

Turns out with all that twizzling and waving their arms around it's quite hard to photograph flamenco dancers. There were ever so slightly more in focus shots but this one captured the noise of the evening. And noisy it was. Too much for my sensitive little manchild who worked on his teenager training with an evening plugged into an electronic device trying to pretend he was somewhere else*. He did say afterwards he'd enjoyed the flamenco he just wished it could have been a little quieter. I'm thinking sitting right next to the stage is not the best place for him. Anna on the other hand couldn't have been happier sitting on the edge of her front row seat in a flamenco dress eating ice-cream.

The rest of the day had largely been spent recovering from the night before for the grown-ups who'd somehow managed to stay up very late. Made the day a little hardwork but we still managed to move between bed, sunlounger and pool and even fed the children. And on the plus side, the world is now fully put to rights. Well, until the next time.

*Led to one of those great parenting conversations where you get to bang on about how lucky your kids are by moaning about how in our day we would have been made to sit there bored with no entertainment (oh, other than the entertainment provided and the company of your family, of course). Speculating on how they will have the same conversation with their kids my prediction is along the lines of, "count yourself lucky with your VR headset where you can meet up with all your mates and really pretend you are somewhere else, in my day I only had an iPod to keep me entertained."
