Life in Tr26

Another new experience..............

A beautiful sunny day in St Ives and I am glad the weather is good as it was time for our farrier to come and do our horses' new shoes. Our farrier Nigel works in all kinds of weather and I have always thought how miserable it must be to be stood in the wind and rain while Lunar, Blue and Honey wait patiently for their turn.

It was the first time that Mutley, our new springer had encountered 'farrier day' and as you can see from the picture, he is now exhausted. Nigel has got what must possibly be 2 of the luckiest and happiest dogs in the world - am not quite sure of the breed but Nigel calls them 'Cornish mouse hounds'! His oldest dog Conan is a persistent ball chaser and his most recent addition, Ollie is just happy to be in the great outdoors.

Mutley loved the fact that he got extra time outside today and thought it was wonderful to meet 2 new doggy friends and gave them a good chase. Having a new puppy is rather like having a new baby - we want them to sleep well at night after an entertaining time through the day and I am sure Mutley will do just that!
