Perfect end-of-summer day!

Today was gorgeous, although quite breezy!! Jack and I decided make a 'toad house', (like a fairy house, only for toads!)

We took a bucket into the back woods, went for a long walk and collected bark, moss, sticks, leaves, rocks and even a couple of mushrooms. When we got home, we put together a very cute little house...complete with a moss & fern leaf roof, bark walls and chimney. We set it up by the stone wall, and immediately a 'daddy longlegs' crawled into it! It wasn't a toad, but Jack couldn't believe it went right in!!

We later made a 'Gods eye'...something I used to make as a kid. We only had hemp string, nothing too colorful, but Jack used a magic marker to give it some color afterwards.

We laid on the wicker loveseat together, snuggled up, as we looked at the passing clouds and decided what they looked like. Such a perfect day!

Now, I am leaving for work...the store should be super busy tonight with the hurricane coming our way. It looks like it will hit us on Sunday. Right now it's a catagory 3 hurricane with 110 m.p.h. winds. Hopefully it won't do too much damage.
