a day in the life of Jack

Hold on ladybug!!!!

Hopefully this ladybug has a safe shelter with the hurricane on its way up the coast!

We are apparently right in Hurricane Irenes path here in Connecticut as well as other parts of New England. I've stocked up on bottled water, an extra flashlight and batteries. Right now it is a catagory 3 hurricane, but will be downgraded a bit before it hits us.

They say to expect 8 - 12 inches of rain, tropical or hurricane force winds in excess of 80 m.p.h and flooding due to the tides. We are inland a bit, although my mom and sister both live on the shoreline....they may get evacuated to a shelter like we had to back in 1985 during Hurricane Gloria.

Jack and I bagged up all of the sandtoys from the sandbox and started bringing in patio furniture this afternoon, we will finish tomorrow.

He hopes his little toad house survives, but I have a bad feeling about that. Maybe we'll have to move it indoors for a few days!
