Souvenir

Peasant piety? No, pretty crudely knocked together out of a tree-trunk by people who know how to separate tourists from their money. I quite like it in a way but after a time souvenirs just become part of the background and most of the time you don't see them. The trouble with these particular things (from Brazil) is that they never get the "doors" balanced right. Either they swing shut so you might as well get any bit of log. Or they swing right back so they're facing sideways.
