Vermin not Bambi

Just walking up the lane to collect my newspaper before breakfast when a deer was in the lane ahead. It moved off to a building plot which is basically just waste at present. The owner hasn't managed to sell the house (£495K reduced from £595K if anyone interested) which was finished almost a year ago so bulding hasn't gone ahead on this adjacent plot. Sorry about the poor quality but shot taken from quite a distance with my tiny compact. A few steps further and they dashed off into the small "wood". Think one may have had a bad leg as it's partner then went into the field in front of the old agricultural college but this one stayed behind and wasn't moving as nimbly as they usually do. They much prefer the better pickings, tulips for a start, to be had in people's gardens and used to cause a lot of problems but when there was a lot of prolonged activity building a new house they disappeared. Recently I've seen them once or twice and they've been in the garden. Lovely creatures out in the wilds but they're becoming a problem around the town. Too many people brought up in Disneyland think they're Bambi and make the council resistant to culling.
