A Splash Of Colour

Back to work today. I was weary and hayfevery from the outset, which is not a good start.

It is not looking like it is going to be quite as manic as last weekend, so that is some crumbs of comfort.

This rose has sprouted out of the heather which grows in front of the living room window. It is a splash of shocking pink in amongst the green, and catches your eye as you come up the steps to the house.

The wet, cold weather put pay to the earlier show of flowers this rose sent out in the middle of "summer", so it's quite nice to see it having a second go!

Thank you for all the lovely comments on yesterdays blips. It seems I have may of inspired one or two of you to pick up a pen and journal again! I hope so, it's great fun first and foremost, and therapeutic as a side effect.
