The eyes have it!

...or actually just the left eye (That would be the one on the right in the picture). If you look closely, you can see how bloodshot it is. Try large. I couldn't open it any wider for the camera to show you the lovely red veins because my eyes were still dilated from the many drops that they got at the retinal specialist's office today. The redness resulted from the injection he gave me that hopefully will clear up the blurry vision I've been dealing with for the past two weeks. Blurriness is not a useful thing for a blipper, you know. Apparently it was caused by blood and fluid that leaked from a vein into the front of the retina. That was caused by the swelling of an artery that pressed on the vein. It's all cause and effect; the original cause possibly being high blood pressure, although mine isn't particularly high.

That's probably more than you need (or want) to know. The good news is that there hasn't been any permanent damage to the eye, and I'm praying that one injection is enough to clear up the problem. Oh, and more good news...the injection didn't hurt. I didn't feel a thing. On the other hand, it doesn't feel great tonight, and I really can't look at the computer screen for any length of time. Am I rattling on? Probably. The eye is tired, and I'm tired, but very thankful about the positive prognosis. Good night blip buddies. Thanks for letting me vent!

Weather report: VERY hot...a high of 94 degrees or thereabouts with a heat index temperature of 102 Fahrenheit. More of the same tomorrow; however, by Tuesday, a high temperature in the 60s is predicted.

The entire SP can be seen here, if you are interested.
