Bee-have Yourself!

Off to the farm this morning to cut some flowers, pick up some fresh corn and eggplant. There was only one butterfly today, and it almost became my blip until I say these strange little bee-wasp-fly thingies. This one appeared to be trying to wipe the pollen off his face - it was quite comical to watch.

But, the favorite is this one with the two critters, covered in pollen. It made me chuckle and hope it brings a smile to your face too.

Hummies are still here, will no doubt post another one over the weekend. It's a 3-day weekend here in the states, which is great!

Update: according to my friends at What's That Bug these are Goldenrod Soldier Beetles and yes, they are mating!
