All this activity resulted in a twist on the standard espresso martini in that it's more of a latté martini. After shaking espresso, kalhua and vodka with a dash of vanilla galliano the whole thing is topped with cream whipped with white cremé de caçao and a vanilla pod. Heavenly. I'm toying with 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' as the bottom half was so bitter and the top so sweet but the combination was just about right. Maybe a bit more galliano next time.

There were lots more things made, many using my newly purchased 'Lillet Blanc', mainly famous for being in a Vesper of Casino Royale fame but also a key ingredient of many gin based cocktails including the 20th Century which also features the white cremé de caçao.

The last week has been such a nightmare, deadlines have been moving daily, change request are still coming in a week after a 'code freeze' and my fingertips are numb But it has all come to an end and for a while life will return to something more resembling normality, until Andy and Helen get married next weekend...
