Late summer debris

Clearing up the garden today I found this little corner which seemed to sum up the time of year. Summer is fading and some shrub leaves have turned a beautiful colour already and fallen to mix with last year's debris.
Spent the day cleaning the house as the carpenter is coming tomorrow to start work on laying oak flooring in the hallway and three new glass panelled doors. Phase one of improving my home now that I have more time to devote to it. Can't wait to see the finished effect...
