Heron taking a hike

Several herons were on the river this morning...some flying around, others just standing in the water, probably looking for breakfast. This fellow looks like he was out for some serious walking, maybe warming up for a run....Could be he's a heron triathlete: walking, flying, and fishing are his events.

Our lovely weather has taken a turn for the worse. It rained last night, thunder and lightning too. It scared Gulliver to pieces. He jumped on the bed, landed on my head, and wouldn't get down, just sat there and shivered. Now the wind has picked up and some cooler weather is blowing in. Hope you are having better weather where you live.
