The Straw House

The Straw House is an abandoned art studio.  It's located on the property of the Amado Territory Ranch behind the Inn near the pond where I caught the frog  the other day.

That's actual straw inside the window.  I love that the shutters are painted on the walls of the building.

It made it up to a God-awful 103F again today but it's supposed to break by Saturday with a 40% chance of rain.  I'll believe it when I see it.  I had some new cacti planted in the backyard yesterday.  Now it actually looks like a cactus garden.  I'll have to watch where I walk, though.  A lot more huge needles to look out for.
