Crystal tips and .....

..... #3 son - out for a meal to celebrate both his 24th birthday (next Sunday) and his impending departure to Aberystwyth on the 22nd. Why so early? Well his choice - I'm away the rest of the week, F is back on Friday and they want to spend time together. We had a lovely meal and a good chat. Sounds like M is being awkward (now having to face up to the consequences of a decision. A bit of an injection of real life, methinks) but think I assured him that everything will be ok. I'll make it ok.

This is a bit of a desperate blip, the 'chandelier' at the restaurant - it having blown a gale most of the day. It was beautifully autumnal earlier when I returned the car to the Manor and set off down the town to design the tea strategy but the sunshine didn't last as the tail end of Hurricane Katia blew in. The fuchsia from the front windowsill has disappeared - blown away and I now have bubble wrap stuck up the chimney to try and stop Katia's wrath storming down the chimney.

Elsewhere - some better news from up by. There are times when inventions like cctv are worth their weight in gold.
