Titan II Missile

I took a tour of the Titan Missile Museum. It is the home of the only remaining Titan II missile which carried the largest single nuclear warhead of any American ICBM. It's nuclear capacity would have been as strong as a dynamite-filled 1200 mile long train, stretching from Tucson to Chicago.

The most famous use of the civilian Titan II was in the NASA Gemini program of manned space capsules in the mid-1960s. The museum is located about three miles from my home in Sahuarita, AZ. It's funny sometimes how we have some of the most amazing things right in our neighborhoods and we often overlook them.

Today was the seventh day in a row we've had precipitation. I got caught in a deluge having to pull my car off to the side of the road a couple of times.

It's been a busy day. Besides the tour, I had an appointment in Tucson with my sleep specialist. It's been three years since my last study so he's ordered a new one to see if my dental sleep appliance is still effective. I refuse to use a CPAP so I don't know what other alternatives there are. I'm counting on my appliance to pull through for me.
