Anniversary

Today is my mum and dad's wedding anniversary; their thirty-third, to be exact. Thirty three years is a long time.

My parents are evidence that opposites attract. They don't like the same books, music or film. Meal times need planning with military precision to accommodate each of their finnicky habits. Somehow, they fit together perfectly. It's clear how much they love each other. They argue, they bickering but they finish each others sentences and share private jokes, also.
They know each other in a way you only can by being married it together for so long.

I look at them, and I want a relationship just like that. They completely renew my faith in love.
