Looks like an old picture postcard...

That's the comment I received at home this evening. My Mum is not a fan of mono, let's say!

I was out walking from home today. I chose a lovely circuit including Chollerford and St Cuthbert's at Heavenfield on the Hadrian's Wall Trail. This view of Chollerton and the North Tyne valley was taken from the hillside below Heavenfield as I stopped to catch my breath as I spent time choosing a good composition.

Can you tell that this is an HDR? It has certainly produced a punchy image. Best in large

PS I didn't mention the blisters induced by wearing boots I'd put away months ago - now I remember why.
