Goldfinch

This striking yellow and black finch is a common sight in our park. When summer ends, he loses the bright yellow color and becomes a dull greenish yellow. His flight is erratic as he zips from tree to branch to twig. I was lucky enough to catch this fellow sitting still.

Really chilly again this morning, barely 50 degrees Fahrenheit. A light misty rain was falling, enough that I had to hide my camera inside my (winter) jacket. I think slightly warmer weather is predicted for tomorrow. Hopefully!
