When Finn turned 2 I suggested to Nana & auntie Cat that they hold off buying a present until his half birthday, in the long gap between birthday and Christmas. Which was prudent because I didn't know then how the Daves would need rehoming and how expensive their tastes are. Luckily Nana gets to bear the brunt of that and today the Nut Awoke from his nap to find a GIANT BOX.

And inside the box was his 'FAVOURITE CASTLE! GIANT FAVOURITE CASTLE! STAIRS! !!! Get peoples! GET DAVE' For my research into residences for really quite fat bath toys which have stairs* had lead to the Melissa and Doug medieval Dave Castle, whose capacious banquet rooms allow for even the most portly of Daves.

Better still, it has facilities his Nuttley brain had not yet thought of: a Drawbridge. A Dungeon. A TRAPDOOR that leads to many peppa pigs to plummet into the dungeon. a removable turretROCKET And SNOWFALL** He loves them all.

*No idea why stairs are important since the Daves legs (or lace thereof) prevent them usefully use them but they are, which lead to a lot of time spend on my part constructing duplo stairs on Casa del Dave
