Where Next?

Shibuya- Tokyo

Trying to make today as productive as yesterday with our trusty maps in tow we set off for Shibuya crossing, bit of an odd tourist desination going to watch people cross the road! It is so busy even today which was a public holiday in Japan. We wandered through the streets of new Tokyo and spent some time getting lost in Yoyogi Park amongst the Japanese maple trees.

Nest we headed for Electric City where I expected robots, crazy inventions and lots of neon. It was more like discounted electrical goods and Matrix style indoor markets with pipes and wires coming out the walls where the stalls sold every possible piece of circuit board, LEDs and switches you could imagine. My brother in his teenage years would have loved it!

We went to the Sony showroom and saw all the latest gagetry. Our feet were aching and we were shattered from yesterday so we headed for a beer. Without really checking out the prices we ended up paying 1,200 Yen, about 10 quid for 2 beers not even half pints. After our mini beers, we called it a day.

Tomorrow we fly to Okinawa and Minnajima, check out Minnajima on google maps satalite view! Next blips will probably be from Kyoto in just over a weeks time.

Happy Birthday Bro!
