Marjorie's ramblings

The group photo

What is it that happens to normal sociable delightful people when you try to take a group photo? Definitely something strange.

Here is the group of walkers from Wales who undertook the long walk today. Yesterday there were 16 on the long walk and 6 on the short. Today the numbers almost reversed. Our leader for the day, C, is in the front row, wearing his special jumper.

We walked 13.2 miles in a circular from Haltwhistle to include Lynnshields (a secret waterfall), Broomhouse Common (very boggy today), the Quaker Chapel at Coanwood (almost unchanged in 250 years) and returned via Langley Viaduct, the South Tyne Valley and the POW camp at Featherstone.

Hope we can go to Wales sometime.

PS (Very tired..........)
