Cormorant

You some times hear of Cormorants being described as "reptilian" in this pic I think the feathers really look more like scales.

Yesterdays Owl and his raptor mates had a bit of a frenzy last night onboard, today the decks of the ship were littered with bloody scraps, headless corpses and lots of feathers from the Chaffinches & Fly Catchers they decimated during the night.
If David Croneberg was an ornitholigist he would have been in his element.
