up early this morning to travel on the train and then the ferry to manly. what a ferry ride that is. stunning as you travel away from the opera house and sydney harbour bridge!

aim of manly mission? check out rental situation. application submitted for a property but i highly doubt they take dogs. more bad news on the rental situation today: 'one of the top applications, but no dogs'. argh..... i do understand their concerns but if only they met megadog! i've had her since she was 8 weeks old and she has never chewed a thing in my flat. boo.

anyway manly is utterly wonderful. definitely preferable to bondi. but an enormous commute for poor M which wouldn't be great at all. having said that, beggars can't be choosers, and in spite of bidding more per WEEK than we would per MONTH in the uk... we really need to find somewhere.

thank you damonii, i agree too - 'what's for you won't pass you by'. sadly, we need the 'for us' to appear in the next couple of weeks. time is ticking on our temporary accommodation and megs getting out of quarantine.

however, sunshine, surf, aqua waters - can't complain too much. i found myself having one of those 'i can't believe we live here' again moments today. all we need is a roof now!
