Except for Scottish football. I marvel at the contradictions within the national game, the international game, the money flowing around within it, the unsustainable nature of the sport dominated by some rich men's pet projects.

I honestly do not know what the answer is, as I commented to my mate as we watched our brave but futile game against the best team in the world, playing in second gear/way beyond our ability (delete as appropriate), we would be better trying to reunite the Eastern block countries to reduce the number of teams competing for the same number of places.

Even buying a glass of luck Spanish cherry could not stop the inevitable.
