Smores around the campfire

Friday
Off to Hocking Hills in South-east Ohio for the long weekend. Roger worked the morning and got home soon after noon. It was trying to rain while we were packing the car, but fortunately it didnt come to much. We finally got away about 3.30 - Laura was coming with us, but in her own car as she wants to return late Sunday afternoon. We had a pretty good drive, apart from getting stuck behind this big crop-spraying machine for a number of miles - and they're not the sort of roads you can easily overtake on - especially when towing a pop-up camper. We reached our campsite at about 5.30. We have stayed at this campsite several times before - its our favorite of the ones in the area. Its got pretty good facilities, without being too big, its got a nice setting on a hilltop, with a nice view, and even when its pretty full, it doesnt get really noisy. We were still setting the camper up when Jen and Jason arrived from Columbus - they were joining us until Saturday evening. After dinner we enjoyed smores around the campfire. I love this time of day at a campsite - seeing all the campfires and decorative lights on peoples campers. Afterwards we played a game for a while then went to bed fairly early.
