While on my runs

Bliss comes in many forms

This picture is taken down at Westhaven. The wee bay where the paddle boarder is cruising is called St Mary's Bay; to the south of this bay, up high above is land which was almost totally owned by the Catholic Church, which still owns substantial amounts of the land. St Mary's Bay, the suburb, is one of the most expensive inner city residential areas joining to Ponsonby and Herne Bay.

As the main motorway north passes between the harbour and the residential land, access to the foreshore is limited except from each end of Westhaven Drive. This little bay is very pleasant, and very calm inner harbour water is its norm. Only the occasional person uses the bay from the land.

Tonight Wales attempt to reach their first rugby world cup final, by beating France who have had two finals without winning either. Late for us here (9 pm start), but I will be watching and quietly cheering for the Welsh.
