Fungal foray

At last we had a day of perfect weather. The sun shone all day and there was an autumnal crispness in the air first thing. As the day progressed so the temperature rose and we were down to tee shirts this afternoon.

The Fungal Foray was a great success. Everyone was infected by Gordon's enthusiasm for his specialist subject. We found all sorts of different fungi, and people who wanted to, went home with baskets of edible fungi for their tea.

This evening was our Social Evening. I wore a long dress with pink flowers on the material, a pink feather boa and a pink wig. Some people didn't recognise me at first! I was so glad to remove the wig and the boa at the end of the evening - both were hot and scratchy. It was a lovely fun evening and my outfit caused a few laughs.

Mum has a chest infection so was not able to come to the Social.
