Molly

The other day Toddler had a lot of fun on one of her friends bikes. Back on her birthday she was given a bike by a neighbour that needed some work that I simply have not had time to do. Given that time does not seem to be something we will get in the near future we decided to look at other bike options.

The Portsmouth Cycle Forum are a good bunch who are trying to get more people on their bikes on the streets of Portsmouth, and they are doing well. Not only have they got us some great cycle routes but they also have a great recycle scheme, where old bikes are donated and fixed up for extremly cheap resale. So early morning we headed down there to look for a bike for Toddler, who found Molly.

Toddlers only prerequisite was that she wanted a pink bike. Molly is a jolly little pink bike that was all ready to go and was waiting for her. As soon as she sat on it she decided it was for her and then would not let it out of her grasp. We got them to add some stabilisers and a bell, then settled up the huge bill of £10. Next week we will go and donate the old bike that never got started.

A smiling from ear to ear Toddler then pedaled to the park to show her friends who were also out looking for a bike. We then headed out to an NCT sale to pick up some bargains before a nice lunch with friends at a new coffee house. All in all a lovely day. Also one of those days where I ended up with a few good shots and possible blips. The almost made its are here and here
