Journey Through Time

Portland's Finest

Wow, busy day. Went over to aunties to do errands. One was to take this upholstered bench in to this custom furniture store to get it re-upholstered. So, we got there and their store was right in the middle of a crime scene investigation. The place was lousy with cops, as somebody once said in some movie somewhere. Yellow crime scene tape was strung from pillar to post and down the block, and around a large empty lot kind of place. I guess some kids on the way to school found a dead body. So, TV trucks, reporters from all the TV stations were set up. I took a few photos of that, but they weren't that great. On the way to the car, these officers rolled down the window to chat. The officer driving is actually from Vancouver. Several police cars were stationed here and there to keep people and cars from driving back towards the apartment building where the victim lived. They were just hanging out, reading the newspaper and doing paper work. Very nice gentlemen. We saw a forensic truck, and a it was just like a movie, although, unfortunately, all too real and some young man lost his life, due to gang activity probably. Insane world.

Then off to do our other chores and just got home, driving in the early darkness and hating every minute of it. Yikes.
