Winter arrives in Container Bay

You won't find Container Bay on a map. It's the name the locals gave it after a shipping container washed-up here about ten years ago. All that is left of that box now are the bits of a rusting skeleton.

Taken just before 09:00 this morning, this pic looks almost due south, across our corner of False Bay, past the aforementioned inlet, at a house about half a kilometre away.

To use the Scottish term, it's pishing down, there's a big northwesterly blowing and the Atlantic that you see here is being kept under control my its might. I suspect some bigger seas will arrive during the day and I'll regret my haste to post a Blip so early ;-)

Sigh. Back to the log stove methinks.
