Marjorie's ramblings

It's been a very grey misty day here in Yorkshire. We went to Leyburn this morning for the market. The vegetables looked wonderful.

Just before 11 a group of people gathered around the war memorial ready for the Remembrance Day service. There were 2 old soldiers there with their medals polished and worn with pride. This lovely man was carrying the colours and I heard him say afterwards he had been worried that he would fall over. No such problem and he was happy to wait while we took photographs afterwards.

The local school had brought about 30 young people to the service.

It was very moving.

Later L and I photographed Wensley waterfall and visited Middleham and the upper falls at Aysgarth (30 sec exposures as the light faded). What a lovely day.
