Blackness

The place, not the mood.

We headed west out of Edinburgh this morning hoping to hear from the BMI people at the airport that young iPad was ready for collection. In fact, we didn't hear at all, and as Alf had suggested, in the end the best thing to do was to go and sit in the baggage office until they got bored and sent someone through from airside with the ipad. Anyway, my ipad is safely restored to my possession along with a document which I probably oughtn't to have left in the aeroplane... All safe.

Blackness offered an interesting potter along the sea shore with some good light. There were views of the castle to the east and views of a wall to the west. I preferred the wall. Not quite sure why. We didn't actually go in the castle. We'll save that for when we have some visitors. After Blackness, we went to the garden centre and couldn't resist visiting the farm shop which has opened up next to the garden centre. This proved expensive - but delivered delicious treats which have been tasted for lunch. Finally, we made it into the garden centre and bought a winter coat for the balcony plants. It's a faff to wrap them in fleece, but it's worth it. We also saw two excellent terracota pots on sale, so snaffled them up as well.

Home via the airport.

And now I have been trying to edit yesterday's blip by uploading a better version of the photo, but suffering some problems with exif data. Don't ask.
