Jack-in-the-Box

I'd like to go out
With a jack-in-the-box,
But I'd love our nights in:
Lid closed, warm and cosy,
Cuddled up together,
Safe in our tin

poem © Celia Warren 2011

Another grey day! I'm not a great fan of clowns, but this chirpy chappie did look bright and cheerful in a Dartmouth shop window. This time the poem came first - it was the result of a creative-writing exercise last year - and now I've got the illustration to go with it - taken on my mobile phone. (Mind you, I don't think I would enjoy being shut in a box with him!)
