Jardin des Plantes

Third and final back-blip from Paris.

Conference proceedings over I had time for a walk before catching the evening train home. I spent some time wandering around Le Mouffetard, the area associated with Ernest Hemmingway and the setting for Woody Allen's 2011 'Midnight in Paris'.

Finished off with a stroll through Le Jardin des Plantes, the main botanical garden in France which dates from the mid 17th century and has a pair of recently restored early 19th century glasshouses and its avenues of pollarded plane trees which look wonderfully architectural now that the leaves have dropped.
