Unwelcome visitor

Quite a while since we've had these one of these. Apart from the sunflower hearts on the bird table and peanuts in a feeder I put a bit of stalish bread on the ground for the blackbirds. But just happened to see this rat dashing from under cover, grabbing a piece, and dashing back. Watching for a bit there are at least two and I think probably three of more. Next door have decking which is built up against the dividing fence and they're living underneath it and getting out under the fence. This is where they've set up in the past though we managed to get rid of them. The neighbour's cat (they used to have two) is now living in Edinburgh and another neighbour's cat has died so although normally I'm not keen on them (cats) in the garden (Mrs P even less so) at times like this I'd be a little more tolerant. I'll be getting out the cage trap and probably get some poison. And no more bread on the ground.
