Iconic image in Cuba

Images of Che Guevara are common in Cuba. This one, in the town of Trinidad on the south coast, is particularly striking. The painting is raised up on the wall and is, of course, one of the best known images of Che. The building houses a branch of the Young Communists' League in Cuba. The man on the bike is delivering fresh bread to the community.

I was out before sunrise to capture this before the sun touched the walls of the building and bleached out the intense blue colour.

There is a small dog sleeping beside the left hand plant pot, waiting for someone to open the shutters and let it go inside.

PS I resisted the temptation to buy a Che tee-shirt!
