Christmas at Boulton

We visited another holiday open house today. This time at the John Joseph Henry House in Nazareth, PA.

This house is a beautiful Victorian home built in 1832 by John Joseph Henry. And it was decorated so nicely for Christmas. This is a photo from the front parlor and shows a child's toy piano with teddy bear. A beautifully decorated tree can be partially seen on the left. Under the tree were many Victorian toys and books.

The house itself has the distinction of being continuously occupied by five generations of Henry family members until it was bequeathed by Mary Henry Stites in 1989. It is currently owned by the Jacobsburg Historical Society. And sadly today we found out that the last remaining family member died this past October.
