Robin at large

View from a Room

The title is not strictly correct, though inspired by Leonard Cohen. This is a view of Belmont street in Aberdeen taken from the Aberdeen Art Gallery.

I have had a really good day today, despite the weather being ferociously cold. Started with a visit to the Art gallery. I have been there several times before, but the works on display keep changing, so it is definitely worth a visit from time to time.. It is amazing this can be free. Long may it continue. I particularly liked a painting by Lowry. There was also the BP Portrait Exhibition.

Followed this with a visit to the Belmont Cinema to see the latest Sherlock Holmes film, then a super dinner and a few glasses of wine.

In the suburbs I think we may have had a sprinkling of snow at some point during the day. The roads in the city were quite slippery, but out here in the wilds of suburbia the pavements are white.
