Cormorant II

The shortest day in the year and certainly one of the dreichest, with light rain and dark skies all day. I am determined to try and reach the Christmas holidays before resorting to indoor blips, but today was tough going. There simply wasn't enough light about and even close ups were poor.

Plenty of birds about the harbour, although most were bobbing about on the sea and impossible to blip. I had to resort to the 2 birds that would stand still,a Herring Gull and a Cormorant. When I reviewed the shots the Gull was almost identical to a previous blip so I had to go with the Cormorant, which was the best of a bad lot and a reflection of the poor light.

Must be positive though, the days get longer now and the light should improve!
