Learning day by day

Christmas Tree lights

I love Christmas eve almost more than the day itself. Today was no exception. Both kids slept in (for them), I had my hair cut and then dropped off two excited children and one not so excited Daddy at the gym. I then did a mad Santa dash to Stotfold to pick up everything needed for Christmas Day and Boxing Day from Nanna and Poppa's, took it back to our's and decanted it into the garage/fridge. THen headed back to the gym to pick up the small people from the creche and a tired Daddy who had been swimming.

The afternoon was spent playing and watching Madagscar. Will watched some of it, Carys and Daddy all of it. Most of the jokes went over C's head but she enjoyed all the same. Then kids had an early bath before tea, tea and then we put out the carrot, mince pie and baileys (thought Santa would like a change from Whiskey) and sprinkled the Reindeer Dust out of the window. Carys showed William very carefully how to hang his stocking on his door knob and off they went to sleep.

We then set to work, with two sets of instructions and a couple of screwdrivers.

T'was the night before Christmas and all over the land, Daddies were cursing as things wouldnt build to plan!

As this is a backblip I can report that William slept without waking from 17.55- 02.30 a world record of eight and a half hours solid! He then woke at 5am and 7.10 so I cant complain, but Im not counting my chickens that it will happen again any time soon.
