Sisters Walk in Nomahegan Park

I spent the afternoon with my older sister who has suffered a series of setbacks to her health since January of last year. She struggles daily to surmount numerous hurdles while trying to accept a reality that she may not escape her situation due to progressive COPD. She is on life support at a local nursing home and it has been a difficult time trying to keep hope afloat while we pray for miracles.

She is the sister who in 1974, sang Free Bird (Lynard Skynard) with me at the top of our lungs while we drove around high on life in my '66 Ford van.
