evidence of things seen

A little after 8:30am and considering the washing that lies ahead after yesterday's fun at Glentress.

By 3/4 length trousers that have served well as cycling longs died on the hill as my saddle caught a threadbare section and ripped the back-side out of them. Which made for a damp and chilly remainder of the ride. Unfortunately, that happened 1/3 of the way 'round. Numb is the word.

So goodbye trousers (and socks), but hello washing machine for my jacket and gloves. The jacket was spared as my rucksack and cover took the brunt of the spray.

My seven-year-old Merrel's will have to fight another day. But only once they are dry.

The rest of the say holds a dog-walk, then time with the weeWeir as Mrs theWeir is off into Edinburgh with a number (gaggle?) of female relatives. We will be hitting the supermarket for milk, bread and fruit, then soft play.

A quiet evening too as Mrs theWeir is working dayshift tomorrow.
