BethaBlip 60...

This is my monthly track of my children as they grow to see how they change as time goes by. I take the same photo in the same place each 1st and 15th of each month along with a wee diary of what has happened and how life has progressed for each of them. Bethany on the 1st and Ewan on the 15th. It is quite remarkable and is accentuated by the 1 year ago thumbnail down in the bottom right.

This month was Bethany's big stage debut as Mary in her primary one nativity. She was playing alongside a boy called Brendan. Aside from the attention, it wasn't a hugely demanding role. There were no lines but she did have to deliver the baby Jesus (a doll) from her arms to the manger and generally just sit and be the centre of attention.

She went for an eye test just before christmas and was given an all clear. By using the drops to suppress her good eye, her bad eye has gotten up to speed sufficiently to work with her glasses. Apparently her 3D vision is a bit iffy but she doesn't need to be seen again for another three months or so.

For christmas we travelled to Grandparents K for Christmas Eve and Grandparents C for Christmas night. She got a usual load of toys with highlights being her Hello Kitty 2 wheeled scooter. Apparently the 2 wheels is the important part. A few sewing kits, a drawing easle and this rather spiffing jacket.

Her reading and writing is coming along rather well and it is wonderful watching her learn. I spent a brilliant 15 minutes or so just watching her read from her library book, going over the sentences again and again, getting that little bit further each time. Her writing is still at the rudimentary stage but it is odd seeing the wee intricacies such as putting h's and d's the wrong way around.

Well, as is tradition, the first Bethablip of the year is done on the 2nd. I'll continue this as it lines up the 'year ago' thumbnails.
