Leith

Still wet, windy and very cold. This is the Water of Leith full to the brim and flowing quickly to the sea. The streets are littered with debris and toppled street communal bins. There is a new river flowing across Bruntsfield Links. Last year it was snow, this year gales and rain.

I spent most of the day in the kitchen - finding e-mails, losing e-mails, sorting out PVG stuff and eating too much - all that chocolate birthday cake.

I was in Leith helping A plan the VS day next week. He has bikes - 4 that I could see in the hall - and is off to Strathpeffer at the week-end to take part in a 24 hour race. The things people do!
