Fish

Nearly six years ago our 20-year-old car failed its MOT and was too expensive to repair. We scrapped it and decided to see how long we could manage without. I gave us six months maximum. But here we are, still making most of our journeys on foot or by bike or train. If we have loads to carry or, like today, we want to go somewhere far from a station, we hire a car (or van, or minibus). I like the fact that someone else takes care of the tax and insurance and servicing and, most of all, of making it shinier than I've ever bothered to make a car.

Before we headed off this morning I couldn't resist taking lots of pictures of shiny reflections. This fish in the headlight is my favourite.
