Silver Light of Evening

We bought this silver Moroccan lantern more than a decade ago from a Garden Centre -Newington Nurseries near Oxford - which at that time had a section selling hand-made craft items from around the globe.

It's far more of an ornamental item than a useful source of illumination, and for several years now it has lain out of use in our garage.

One of my Christmas / New Year Holiday projects was to re-install it in our living room, and after several goes altering the position of the light bulb, replacing the chains and adjusting the way the lamp hangs, we're both now very satisfied with the effect.

Especially now, after the Christmas lights have come down, it adds a bit of colour and sparkle to the room.
