3/31 Clouds

Made it into the garden while there was still a balance between blue and grey in the sky! Took a bit of effort to persuade him up onto the climbing frame (bit of an obsession with spider webs and general dislike of them) and once up there the sun was too bright for him *sigh* but I got a couple of pictures! At least there are clouds in this even if it isn't the greatest of photos. This might have been processed into being a blip if it had had any actual cloud detail in!

Journal to follow later :)

Here it is!

Steve made it into work today! He thinks he managed to give himself whiplash with all the coughing he's done recently, but thankfully ibuprofen has been keeping the pain manageable today. Me on the other hand? Well a day of 'brufen therapy for my knee yesterday, then NOT having to get up at 5am this morning to change a nappy and then spend 3 hours trying to settle two children back to sleep, AND clearing the area in front of the coffee maker before bed last night, has meant I've been able to function rather well today!

I did have to leap out of bed first thing as Ben suddenly started hopping and sounding very very desperate. Seems when he's that desperate he can't manage to sort out his stool and his little seat thing AND hold the wee in...

It's been a good day. We made it out to the shops, Ben rode his bike there and back and got to watch a train AND got a little matchbox car as well; then our grocery delivery arrived early and the delivery man laughed to see yet more stuff lining the hallway :) and eventually we made it to the busstop in time for a bus having missed two already to get to Hayley's house for the afternoon. We walked to the school with her to pick up the children and Ben got a piggyback ride most of the way there and back as he tripped up and hurt both knees and hands (although no grazing at all, just bumped), and then caught the bus back home to wait for Steve to pick us up to take us to Robin and Rachel's house for tea!

Been all over the place today so hopefully Ben's cabin fever will remain kept at bay.

Tomorrow promises to be just as busy!

Been blessed with food today. Delicious homemade soup at Hayley's for lunch, and during the morning Rachel sent me a message asking if we'd like food tonight which is why we ended up at theirs for dinner having a gorgeous chicken curry. During the afternoon Pam sent a message to say would we like some fish pie tomorrow evening? Of course!! I had to check to see if our meal rota was still being filled because these were offers out of the blue but no, this is just lovely lovely friends responding to our exhaustion and poorliness and feeding us and looking after us and providing much needed company and change of scenery :) Very very blessed!

Better get some more 'brufen down me before bed to help the knee (about which I STILL haven't called the physio department *sigh*) so here's hoping for just as good a day tomorrow.

Off to put the boys and me to bed now as Steve is out at a prayer meeting. Wish me luck, it could get messy! I think I'll just pop them both in bed with me and doze off for a bit too :D
