Fungal Eruption

Another rather hot day today - it seems summer has finally arrived :)

Did some more gardening :)

Booked a few days over in Golden Bay for both next week and for Waitangi weekend :)

Heard my fisrst cicada of the summer :) (though he was the only one I heard!!)

Found heaps of these wee mushrooms erupting in a large patch on the front lawn. The absence of the cicadas and the presence of cool & damp-loving fungi really does tell us that this has not been a typical summer!

All in all - a good day :)

PS - have just noticed that I'm not too far off reaching 300,000 views. My flabber is ghasted!
